A large-scale success story that we are rightly proud of has been achieved working with the major UK telecommunications company – SKY. DriveSense are the chosen supplier to conduct In – Vehicle risk assessments for all new Sky fleet employees.
With the number of new employees at SKY increasing, the company wanted to ensure their employees safety while out on the roads as well as improving upon their carbon footprint. The training programme that we put in place contributed positively to achieving their environmental aims and objectives. SKY engaged DriveSense to design and deliver interventions that will directly and measurably help SKY to achieve their environmental goals. In addition to training their new employees, we are now moving forward and providing our expertise to facilitate their progress towards net carbon zero, through adoption and effective use of EVs within their fleet.
Over 3 years, we have successfully delivered over 500 training sessions, which has amounted to 15.3% MPG saving.
DriveSense have been working alongside Zehnder for 6 years and are the chosen supplier to aid them with license checking and In Vehicle Training. Zehnder had very simple but very powerful aims that they wanted to achieve:
- To create a positive yet responsible driving culture
- Reduce the rate of incidents within the company
- Improve upon driving efficiency (both MPG & Co2)
DriveSense created a three pronged approach to help the business with their aims using a range of our products.
Firstly, we started the programme with Driving License Checks, covering all the basics to ensure that all participants are safe and legal while out on the roads. Each participant was then asked to complete our unique DriveSense Risk Assessment and E-learning modules, and an overall risk rating was generated. Lastly, depending on the risk rating and job role, some participants were then asked to partake in our 1:1 In-Vehicle Training (IVT) sessions with one of our highly skilled and knowledgeable ADIs.
The way in which this was approached ensured that the participants had new knowledge and confidence that could be retained and made a huge difference in not only the safety of the Zehnder fleet, but also in achieving their goals of improving upon driving efficiency.
106 participants took part in the training programme, 26 of these were identified as high risk and graduated from 1:1 IVT interventions.
Zehnder Group have been working with the Osbourne Purdie group for many years, their service provision and communication is highly valued and we see the relationship continuing for many years to come.
Renault RCI contacted DriveSense to help with Risk assessments for their company car drivers. We have proudly worked alongside them since 2015. Since then we have delivered 1,483 risk assessments and identified 118 high risk drivers.
Renault RCI’s aim was to ensure the safety of their fleet by measuring driving competence through our online risk assessment. Each participant was put through our risk assessment that comprises a number of multiple choice questions on driving habits, experience and knowledge – an overall risk rating of High, Medium or Low are generated. This has allowed RCI to make more informed decisions on what car type/engine power each fleet driver can be allocated. High risk participants are then put through our E-learning modules and further assessment to ensure information is retained.
As mentioned previously, working alongside the EST has been a game changer for us as a business. DriveSense were appointed the inaugural partner of the EST, helping them with designing and delivering fuel efficiency training to a number of clients with huge success since 2009. Since then, we have delivered training to over 100,000 happy participants. The training we put into place amounted to an average MPG improvement of 17.19% with an average fuel save of 13.87%.
